Staffs are made from wood, leather and copper. The wood is recovered from orchards, firewood piles, beaches or rivers. Each piece is unique. Gianni grew up on the East Coast of Africa, where the earth breathes with spirit, and one can see the soul in every tree, every whisper of wind. To Gianni, these wooden pieces are not raw materials — they are messengers. They carry the hum of forgotten forests, the resilience of ecosystems that thrived long before humanity’s rush toward mass production. The act of transforming them into usable products releases the energy contained within. The hand process ensures that no two pieces are the same; the “dialogue is always different.”

The staff tip has a 75mm long, 5mm diameter pure copper spike that enters the ground. This copper spike is connected to two copper wires that run up the length of the staff. These copper wires connect to a braided leather and copper harness. The braided leather copper harness is either wrapped around your wrist or held under your hand as you hold the staff. The copper spike enters the ground and connects you to the Earth’s current — ensuring you “Stay Connected · Be Grounded” and enjoy “Abundance & Health”.

The bear was believed to originate from the heavens and return there after death. In traditions like Finnish paganism, the bear spirit (Otso) was king of animals, and rituals were required to send its spirit back to the sky. In Native American and other Indigenous cultures, the bear spirit is a healer and teacher associated with hibernation — symbolizing cycles of death and rebirth, inner strength, and a connection to the underground spirit realm. Gianni lives in the Kootenays. He is self-taught and has a passion for sculpting in wood and other workable materials. He works exclusively with hand tools, preferring to hear the music of sharp knives, gouges and spokeshaves. His hands are merely interpreters, tracing the language of growth rings and weathered grain as he releases the spirit that lives within each piece of wood.
